Goats and Invasive Plants

Yellow Springs has long been searching for a way to remove honeysuckle, preferably in an organic well. We might just have the solution: goats.

Goats love honeysuckle; to them, the plant is a treat. They eat all of it, plants and stems.

Honeysuckle isn't the only irritating plant that goats love. They also eat poison ivy and kudzu, both highly invasive plants.

Sherman and Sparky enjoy some freshly picked honeysuckle.
Can't get enough!
